Biofouling in Offshore Aquaculture multi-use systems – Problems, practical examples and technical solutions

The upcoming workshop aims to improve capacities of aquaculture communities and maximise technology transfer. It focuses on the aquaculture related technologies in the context of biofouling, addressing technical challenges in multi-use offshore systems (e.g., food production in combination with renewable energy or tourism activities).
Participants will learn about the UNITED project in general as well as the activities, challenges, and experience of the pilots regarding biofouling. Furthermore, external experts from the industry will also show different technical solutions to deal with biofouling. Finally, the workshop will provide a platform for technology transfer between pilots, industry, and audience.
The highly interactive nature of this workshop will allow the audience to take part in discussions and raise specific questions of their interests and field of work.
While the workshop targets those working in the aquaculture sector, the attendance is also open to offshore operators, offshore wind experts, regulators, researchers, and all those interested in the topic.
